Written features

In the landscape of storytelling, written features remain an indispensable canvas for the human narrative. They offer a unique sanctuary where subjects can not only share their experiences but intricately weave the tapestry of their lives. Unlike the brevity often demanded by modern mediums, features provide a generous expanse for individuals to unfold the layers of their stories, allowing their voices to resonate with authenticity and depth. In a world inundated with fleeting content, written features stand as enduring monuments, preserving the essence of human connection and allowing each subject's unique radiance to shine through.

Why Latin America Owes A Big Thank You To West Africa

This story was my all-time favorite to put together before the release of the blockbuster movie, In the Heights. There were many difficulties facing this production: for starters, we were still in the thick of the pandemic - without any end in sight. Our productions had gone completely virtual, and, engaging an audience became a myriad of zoom interviews that became homogenized, regardless of subject matter. I wanted to change that. Soon after, came this story, filled with rich cultural nuance, history and of course, MUSIC. To make the story stand out, I interviewed Eddie Torres Jr., the choreographer for the film, to talk more about the film, and his passion for music. Read (and listen!) to the entire interview here.

In this feature, read how WB’s consumer products team created an entire line of toys, bedding, clothing, and more, here.
